Anthem launches new official Interior Design Masters magazine

Anthem has been granted the licence to publish a new magazine in connection with BBC 1 series Interior Design Masters

Following the final of series 7 of Interior Design Masters on Tuesday 9th June, Anthem is delighted to announce that the first issue of Interior Design Masters magazine has gone on sale.

Produced in close association with DSP, the production company behind the hit BBC TV show, Interior Design Masters magazine is the perfect extension of the show, and aims to inspire viewers all year round, keeping them entertained between series of their favourite show.

The magazine has three core pillars – behind the scenes features about the show, interior design advice to inspire and educate, and DIY projects and tutorials. At its heart, Interior Design Masters magazine will give readers the confidence to design, and the tools to create.

Issue 1 features an interview with the winner of series 7, as well as a forward and free e-workbook from head judge Michelle Ogundehin, a lesson in interior design at the home of regular judge Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and a masterclass in colour with Sophie Robinson. Plus there’s a chance for one lucky reader to win £300 to spend on Lia Gold’s winning range at Next Home.

The start of an exciting new collaboration

Donna Clark, Managing Director at DSP comments, “The Interior Design Masters magazine is a perfect companion to the TV series.  I’m delighted with the design and content as they chime perfectly with the tone of the show.  The magazine gives a brilliant opportunity to allow fans of the show more insight into their favourite contestants, judges and tradespeople, as well as getting practical tips and advice for their own interiors projects.

“Interior Design Masters has become the most successful interior design show on TV with well over 3 million viewers for each episode.  It seems a natural progression to publish a magazine which allows those viewers, as well as lovers of interiors, more opportunity to immerse themselves in the world and to get both inspiration and practical tips for their homes.

“Working with Anthem has been a dream as our visions for the magazine have been completely aligned.  We’ve already started working on our next TV series with 10 new talented contestants and I can’t wait to see future editions of the magazine.”

Anthem’s MD, and editor of issue 1, Sally FitzGerald comments, “When we were first approached to create this magazine it was a dream come true for me personally as I’ve been a fan of the show since series 1, but it was also the perfect fit for Anthem. Our ethos is about helping people to live happier, healthier lives, and our homes are often central to this.

“The homes sector was something that was definitely missing from our lifestyle portfolio, so this was an amazing opportunity to correct that. DSP have been incredible partners to work with on this project, and we’re really proud that the BBC even granted us the rights to use their logo on the cover after they’d seen a proof of issue 1. We’re excited to see how this magazine grows, it’s got such great potential.”

Issue 1 of Interior Design Masters magazine is on sale now in all major UK supermarkets and on Anthem’s shop site.
