As the leading UK vegan media brand, we really wanted to find out more about the shopping and eating habits of vegans in the UK now that there’s much more choice available to them. Which supermarket do they think is the best for vegan options? What products do they feel are still missing from the market? And what do people really think about cross contamination? There are a lot of assumptions made – we wanted to be in possession of the facts!
So in October 2019 we launched The Big Vegan Survey 2019. Hosted and analysed by market research company MSS Research, the survey comprised 40 questions, with a prize incentive to win a two night stay with dinner at the UK’s first fully vegan hotel, Saorsa 1875.
But what made this so much more than our magazine or website talking to its readers was that we assembled a great coalition of the UK’s leading vegan charities and organisations to expand the survey out to their audiences as well. Veganuary, ProVeg, Million Dollar Vegan and The Vegan Kind Supermarket all came on board to collaborate on the UK’s biggest ever profile of vegan consumer behaviours, motivations and intentions.
