Anthem marks World Mental Health Day with a £6,800 donation to Bath Mind

Having chosen Bath Mind as Anthem’s partner charity, we’re always looking for ways to support them. So with World Mental Health Day 2021 happening on 10th October, it was the perfect opportunity to bring back the previously successful fundraising campaign for another year…

World Mental Health Day takes place on 10 October every year to raise awareness of mental health issues and try to banish any stigma that surrounds them.

In 2019, Anthem decided to mark the occasion by donating 10p from every magazine sold throughout October to Bath Mind.

This proved to be a massive success in raising much needed funds for the charity.

Despite the challenges faced by Anthem as a result of the pandemic in 2020, we decided it was important for us still to run the initiative that year, and so when October rolled around again this year, we decided it was time to bring it back for a third time in 2021.

Why Bath Mind means so much to us

Our mission as a company is to help people lead happier, healthier lives every single day. Mental health is such an important part of that. It’s something that we talk about regularly through our wellbeing brands Colouring Heaven, Women’s Running, Planet Mindful, Ultimate Dot-2-Dot and Vegan Food & Living.

As Anthem is based in Bath, it was also important for us to have an impact in our local community and help to make a difference there too.

We’re so excited to announce that October’s copy sales have now been calculated and we’ve been able to make a donation to Bath Mind this year for £6,846.

How will the donation help?

Hannah Roper from Bath Mind reveals how our donation will be put to good use:

Christmas and the winter period is an extremely vulnerable time for people in need of support, so we envisage an even greater demand. Therefore your donation will have a significant impact in helping support those people this winter and beyond!

Your £6,846 will pay for over 340 people in our community to access a vital call to our evening crisis line Breathing Space, which operates 365 days a year.”

How you can help

If you missed out on the chance to buy one of our magazines and be part of the donation, you can still make a donation to Bath Mind and make a difference this Christmas.
