Colouring Heaven is the world’s leading colouring brand, with a mission to provide the colouring community with the best colouring designs by top artists from around the world.

We’re looking for a Digital Assistant for Colouring Heaven to help grow and maintain our audience on a four-day week basis.

Colouring Heaven is not just a magazine; it’s also a website, numerous social channels and a YouTube channel. We communicate to our audience via these channels, and also via e-newsletters.

We’re recruiting for a Digital Assistant to join the growing digital team.

The role would be remote working and the Digital Assistant would be required to attend occasional in-person meetings at the Colouring Heaven office in Bath.

Job description
The Digital Assistant will be a champion for our social media presence, posting content across all platforms and developing new content streams.

The Digital Assistant will also be responsible for writing engaging news articles and long-form features for our website, applying SEO best practice, and then publishing them across our channels.

The Digital Assistant will also help with back end SEO on the site, keeping on top of broken links and general site health.

The Digital Assistant needs to be a quick worker, happy to pick up new skills on the fly, and able to think out of the box.

Responsibilities

  • Writing engaging pieces for web and researching other stories
  • Formatting articles for web and applying SEO rules
  • Selecting appropriate images and making sure they’re fit for web
  • Looking after CH’s social media channels, coming up with content ideas and campaigns, keeping on top of algorithm changes and answering queries from our audience
  • Helping to keep on top of back end of site admin, checking for broken links, slow loading pages etc

Candidate requirements

  • Ability to pick up new digital skills quickly
  • Ability to write quickly and concisely
  • Excellent grasp of grammar and a wide vocabulary
  • Ability to work in a team, reporting to multiple members of staff and completing tasks to deadline
  • An interest in colouring or creative arts and crafts

Preferable skills and interests

  • Basic knowledge of SEO and appropriate writing for web
  • Experience using social media for business, operating Facebook Creator Studio/Business Suite, Hootsuite or equivalent to schedule posts and review insights
  • Basic knowledge of imagery for web, including resizing imagery and creating graphics when needed
  • Photoshop and InDesign
