Healthy Eating wins Newsstand Magazine of the Year

Anthem celebrates at this year’s Newspaper and Magazine Awards as Healthy Eating is awarded Newsstand Magazine of The Year

The ACE Newspaper and Magazine Awards took place on 22nd May 2024 at the London Marriott Hotel, and was a celebration of the industry’s biggest achievements over the past 12 months.

When Healthy Eating was shortlisted for Newsstand Magazine of The Year a couple of months previously, Anthem knew it would be facing some tough competition as it was going head-to-head in its category with Radio Times, National Geographic Traveller, New Scientist and Eclipse Mega Monthly Wordsearch.

Since Healthy Eating only launched in April 2023, it only had eight months of results to boast about, compared to a full 12 months for the other four brands.

However, Anthem knew it had been a fantastic first year for the Healthy Eating series, which comprises AirFryer Cookbook, Menopause Cookbook, Anti-inflammatory Cookbook and Gluten-Free Cookbook.

Anthem’s distribution partner Marketforce had excelled at getting impressive listings for the title and securing important promotional slots at newsstand, and the magazine had started to build a loyal fan base of readers.

When revealing the win at the awards, the host explained: “The judges felt this entry was a clear winner as they saw the market opportunity, acted upon it and delivered impressive results. The team provided an innovative build on a one-shot strategy that used clear audience insight to create a whole new publication category.”

Anthem was truly delighted to be awarded the much sought-after award on the night.

It was as a fitting recognition of the combined hard work and dedication between Anthem’s Healthy Eating team and Marketforce to create such a strong brand in such a short amount of time.
